Whilst we would all like money to be no object when thinking up good date ideas the fact is going to the most expensive restaurant isn’t always an option. The good thing is though is with a little planning and creativity the cost of your date can be as little or as much as you like. Don’t get me wrong in this day and age we really do pay for quality so it can impress your date by going to the fancy restaurants and ordering the lobster with some champagne. On the flip side though a romantic picnic a the park complete with food that you’ve made yourself and a relatively cheap bottle of wine can still make a great impression on your date.
Good date ideas really do come down to the individual and also trying to get a sense of the kind of person your date is as to the kinds of things they’d really enjoy. People often say if your go out with a girl from a wealthy family she’d expect you to take her some place nice and for money to not be an issue. Whilst this can be the case more often that not its more about the effort you put into creating an amazing date than simply the cost. Equally, going on a date with someone who’s background isn’t wealthy doesn’t mean that a $300 candle lit meal makes you the king of the castle.
A good first date can involve as little as heading down to the beach or park and just spending time together. Over the last year a friend of mine used his head a little when it came to dating, saving money and learning a new skill. Throughout the year he went on five dates with different women and on each first date he took them to free salsa lessons at the same local bar. Whilst only one of the dates became long term, through plenty of practice he now dances a pretty mean salsa.
